The company Swix is situated in Lillehammer, Norway. At first Swix has begun to produce ski wax since 1946, and since 1947 also ski-poles. Relying on this great experience, Swix produces, meanwhile, also high-quality Nordic Walking poles.

The company Swix has established in the Nordic Walking domain - the poles are made of a carbo-fiberglass composition and can be obtained at a fair price.
Swix' innovation is the Twist&Go tip which avoids the taking off, the setting up and the stowage of the pads. Thanks to a simple rotary motion, the pad can be used instead of the tip and vice versa. The stowage of the (mostly) dirty pads is therefore avoided.

During Nordic Walking, the loop and the grips are very important. The loop by Swix is salomon-licensed which has a bridge between the thumb and the index. The system of Swix can be simply used and is therefore made for beginners. The 2005 model - the Cool Fit loop (at every Twist&Go models) - is very comfortable to the hand and softer than its forerunner. Swix either has synthetic grips of 2 components (CT4), or synthetic grips (CT4 Twist&Go and CT3 Twist&Go) or a cork grip which is comfortable to the hand (at the top model Swix CT2 Twist&Go ).
The poles have a hard metal tip which can be put on the asphalt pads (included in the delivery) for hard grounds. The asphalts pads for the Swix poles have the form of a shoe and are available as accessory.
The bestseller of the company Swix is the Swix CT4 pole which has 30% of carbon. The Swix CT4 pole is ideal for beginners and for advanced. The Swix CT4 Twist&Go pole is also available with the new Twist&Go tip, the Cool Fit loop and the grip made of synthetic cork. The Swix CT3 Twist&Go pole has 80% of carbon, a grip made of synthetic cork as well and the new and soft Cool Fit loop. The top-class model by Swix is the Swix CT2 Twist&Go pole with a grip made of natural cork, a Cool Fit loop and with 100% of carbon.
