...wHAT FASCIA Training is?



The human body is encased by a fibrous net of connective tissue, the fascias. They work as packaging material for muscles, joints, and organs. Fascias surround the musculoskeletal system like a "diver's suit" and give our muscles their shape. According to today's knowledge, sensors in the zone of this tissue can be responsible for pain.

Depending on the body region, the fascial tissue is of different thickness. The plantar fascia below the bottom of the foot is several mm thick and very resistant. In contrast to this, the connective tissue on the inner side of the thigh is very thin and rather soft.

An elastic net structure is decisive for well-being and fitness, because rough, stiff or damaged fascias can cause tensions, agglutinations, and pain. Felting of those structures can result from overstressing. Though "staying at home", not demanding those fibres, can cause their agglutinations.
The connective tissue is very flexible. In order to get fascias resistant, they should face regular pull stresses. Stretching and massage exercises are ideal.

Pain points can be precisely treated and permanently avoided by exercising with those sport machines. Muscles difficult to reach and body regions, which are often strongly demanded throughout the day due to false postures, can be direclty demanded. Fascias can be brought back to their provided baseline condition by blood flow stimulating massages and a simultaneous deep breathing.

The fascia net of our body has gained strong attention in the last years. Few years ago, fascias were considered to be completely unuseful. Today it is known that damaged fascia tissue might be a cause of pain and tensions. A special training provides flexible fascias and makes them smoother and more stressable. In the scope of rehabilitation and prevention, the self treatment by means of fascia training is effective to improve the physical feeling and to increase the well-being.
